Kate Harrad: selling her soul to go to the ball.

The boy who became famous

Once there was a boy who didn’t talk very much. He thought he was too busy thinking to talk. His name was Kevin. Kevin wanted to be a writer when he grew up and that involves thinking a lot.

He was thinking about writing a book on Noah’s Ark one day when his mother shouted from the kitchen ‘I hope you’re doing your homework, Kevin!’ , knowing he wasn’t. ‘You know you’re meant to write your non chronological report about doctor who!’ Kevin knew this. He had hoped that she had forgotten all about his dreaded homework. He really didn’t want to be forced to write a whole page of chronological report and then have to be carried all the way to hospital ’cos his hand was aching so much. He really wasn’t looking forward to it. Man he wasn’t looking forward to it. But he really had to write that report to get his level 2b.’All right, all right, I’ll do my homework!’ said Kevin, storming into the kitchen , and stopped talking (I told you he didn’t talk very much!) ‘Ok.’said his mother calmly. ‘Why aren’t you doing it then?’
